Sunday afternoon we gathered at W3NY’s is home to load the van for the start of the trip to the Dry Tortugas. When everyone arrived, the driveway was strewn with enough stuff to fill the van but somehow we got all that and everyone else’s gear stuffed into the back of the van. We had the two back seats out.
Some unforeseen circumstances, and travel delays. We did not arrive in Key West until nearly 6 PM. The schedule that we had for Monday, we plan to attempt on Wednesday weather permitting.
Tuesday’s plan is to activate some of the parks in the Lower Keys, and meet our boat captain that is an integral part of the expedition. He is transporting essential gear and water to the island.
The other half of our team from Pennsylvania plans to depart Tuesday and arrive Thursday sometime.
