N4T POTA ACTIVATION UNDER WAY

Good morning everyone who is watching our blog. Sorry for the delay in updates. We arrived on the island Friday morning around 10:30 am. We proceeded to set up camp, and met with the rangers to coordinate our setup. We spent a couple hours figuring out antennas. Then we got set up and were on the air by 3pm. We were running overnight and as of this morning have log around 700 contacts so far.
Overnight was interesting. A front came in and brought us some rain around 4am. We had to stop operations briefly during the wind and rain as our shelter was no very water resisant (LOL). AK9IT and N8WXZ spent 15 minutes in the rain just holding on to the shelter so it didnt blow away. Once the rain and wind subsided, we got things cleaned up and back on the air.
This morning is cloudy, winds around 10 knots gusting to 20. Tempature around 68 degrees. Hoping it clears up so we can get some batteries charged!
