Hello everyone!<\/p>\n
After a hearty breakfast of eggs and bacon cooked over charcoal, at Boyd\u2019s Campground in Key West we headed out to activate our first park in the Keys. <\/div>\n

We started with Great White Heron K-0240<\/a> on Saddlebunch Keys, where AK9IT had some trouble with his key being sticky. We parked at the end of the road, positioning the van for shade. <\/div>\n

We moved to Florida Keys Wildlife Area K-6303<\/a> and found a nice pavilion right on the water and set up a vertical and an end fed antennas. W3NY started hunting while AK9IT ran CW. We had several visitors stop by, one of whom was N4ZR\u2019s brother (one of the brains behind RBN). W3NY got a call from our Captain, and needed to do a supply run so left after operating about half an hour leaving K3MET to run 20 meters. <\/div>\n

After returning and helping to tear down we headed over to Captain Chet\u2019s to load our gear that wouldn\u2019t fit on the ferry. AK9IT packed the cabin. \"image6.jpeg\"\"image7.jpeg\"<\/span><\/div>\n

Deciding that the day really was nearly gone, we headed back to Boyd\u2019s to grill steak and bake potatoes for supper. <\/span><\/div>\n

Tomorrow weather permitting we hope to activate 2 nearby Lighthouses. <\/span><\/div>\n
