The past couple days have been beautiful weather with lots of sun, a very good thing as the batteries were forgotten when the team and Captian loaded the boat this morning. We are keeping two stations on air until Saturday morning when hopefully another captian will bring the batteries.
We have been watching for 6 meter openings, so far we have missed them. We have a dedicated 6 Meter antenna on our digital station and will continue to check for openings.
The rest of the team arrived around 11:30 this morning. They stopped at the Marquesas Keys and activated Key West NWF onn their way out giving folks another chance for a park that rarly gets airtime.
After getting their tents set up the new team got on air and 15 and 20 meters gave them lots of contacts. Many thanks to those of you that are patient with the pileups. Logs are being set out via Winlink this evening and will be uploaded to Clublog and POTA, and plan to send the rest in the morning for yesterday.
After polling the group we may have some brave souls that will stay despite the weather, however the major portion of the gear will be sent back via the charter Captian Sunday afternoon.
