Sunday Afternoon

Sunday Afternoon
It seems really quite despite the birds that are still arriving to nest on the island. This year they have chosen the trees right behind us and we are happy for headsets! We packed as much of the radio gear that we could to send home with the charter, we are left with the shelter, the same antennas, 3 radios, a couple batteries and the laptops. It was sad seeing Team Two and the cooks leave but they will have a much nicer ride home today than we will tommorow as they are calling for 12 foot swells.

The rest of the log uploading will be delayed, we discovered two of the laptops had the wrong time, so it will take some time to resolve.

We are going to operate as we can, packing up all but one station around 6pm Sunday evening before the storm lands and if the ferry runs tommorrow we will finish around 8 am. From my operating postion I can see the North Beach and the waves have been steadily building with the wind.

Tonight we are having a basic supper of burgers and salad, no more steak and baked potatoes!
